Flying Dutchman Storytelling Festival
We have something really special in the works, a day of storytelling at the beach, exploring the spaces that lay at the edge of land and sea. Worlds of myth, mystery, and ceremony collied in a day full of stories and life!
More than a dozen storytellers will be joining the DISC team to fill your entire afternoon and evening with stories. We will open our festival with a story and ceremony at 14:00 before beginning a series of story walks. We will visit the beach, the dunes, and finally the sea herself to wash ourselves and cool off. After that it’s off to our hold haunt the Komma, the new name of the building next to the Puntje where we will transform it quickly into a market full of stories and storytelling swag. After that we will settle in to witness a really big, and really special story in the space before heading back outside. The night will finish with our own special kind of Cèilidh, a Scotch-Irish storytelling circle underneath the setting sun.
